Wernher Ovalle, M.D.
Dr. Ovalle is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has been in private practice since 1999. He received his medical degree from University of California, San Diego, and completed his residency training at the University of Washington. He finished at UW with highest honors, and that program remains among the top three primary care programs in the United States (2018 US News & World Ranking). During his training, Dr. Ovalle learned to become an astute clinician, a good listener and excellent diagnostician. More importantly, he developed a unique ability to connect with patients; to be sympathetic and understanding when patients experience trying times, involving both physical and mental illness.
During the last 20 years, it was this desire that led Dr. Ovalle to develop his own concierge medicine program. It allowed for him to have the proper space and time with patients, to best understand and treat their medical conditions; all the while, getting to know patients and their families in a personable and comfortable environment. “White-coat hypertension doesn’t happen much in my office,” Dr. Ovalle has said, “Seeing your doc shouldn’t be a stressful event. I want patients to feel like my office is a familiar, safe place, where you leave feeling better than when you once came. And patients know above all, that I will be there for them. Any time, any day.”
